Your Lap Data
This page explains in plain language how your data is used within ApexIQ.
Where it lives
All lap recordings are stored on your device only in an encrypted format. No one - including us - can access your laps without physical access to your machine and your account.
When it stays local
- Viewing your own laps in the dashboard
- Comparing your own laps against each other
- Generating track maps from your sessions
- AI Coach analysis (only aggregated statistics are sent; raw data never leaves your device)
When it leaves your device

Leaderboard
When you set a personal best lap time, the following is automatically submitted to our leaderboard:
- Track and car
- Lap time
- A validation fingerprint used only for anti-cheat checks (verifies that the lap data is plausible)
Your username is displayed on the leaderboard alongside your time. No other personal information is shown. Full telemetry is not submitted as part of leaderboard participation.
Lap Sharing
You choose whether to share your lap data publicly. When you share a lap, other users can download it to compare against their own driving.
Privacy options

You can change your sharing preference at any time. The change applies immediately to all your shared laps. All shared laps are encrypted during transfer between your device and our servers.
Anonymization
When you delete your account:
- Your profile and personal information are permanently removed.
- Your shared laps are deleted from our servers.
- Your leaderboard entries are anonymized (your username is removed; lap times remain to preserve ranking integrity).
Paid Features
Some features, including extended AI analysis and advanced tools, may require a paid subscription.
Subscription status may affect:
- AI usage limits (free users may have restricted analysis quotas; paid subscribers may receive higher quotas or unlimited access)
- Access to advanced analytics and premium tools
- Feature availability
